1 in 3 first home buyers choosing to invest

Research released by the Property Investment Professionals of Australia (PIPA) has revealed approximately 36 per cent of first-time buyers are looking to invest in property instead of purchasing a home.

Many first-timers are opting to improve their financial futures by investing in more affordable locations while renting where they desire.

This concept of ‘rent-vesting’ is certainly gaining popularity and is here to stay.

Current market conditions are making it easier for first-time buyers when it comes to purchase prices, however lending restrictions and complexities are making it more difficult for some to secure finance.
